Nantucket Island Resort’s White Elephant Village has been named to Travel + Leisure’s annual 2017 “World’s Best Awards.” Ranking number five in the “Top 10 Resort Hotels in the Northeast” category, as well as number 82 in “Top 100 Hotels in the World,” the White Elephant Village earned an overall score of 95.64 out of 100. The hotel was the only Nantucket property to be listed in both categories. Additionally, Nantucket was awarded number two in the “Top 10 Islands in the Continental U.S.” category. The winners will be included in the August 2017 issue of Travel + Leisure.
The “World’s Best Awards” were determined by more than 300,000 reader votes, and showcases the leading islands, cities, hotels, spas, and cruises. Respondents were asked to rate hotels based on rooms/facilities, location, service, cuisine, and value.
