Starting in 2020, Massachusetts enters a decade of monumental commemorations, marking the 250th anniversary of European settlement of Massachusetts Bay.  The great confluence of cultures coming into contact for the first time was essentially a trans-Atlantic story of exchange, encounter, exploration, endurance, hardship, and loss.  This story altered the course of world history and ushered in the modern era.
