Dr. Erinn Tucker

erinn d tucker phdDr. Erinn D. Tucker is joined the faculty at Temple University School of Sports, Tourism and Hospitality Management in 2015 after four years at Boston University. Erinn has over 15 years of research and professional service experience in the areas of hospitality, sport, event sponsorship and employee training. She has consulted for sports teams (Charlotte Bobcats and Charlotte Knights) in the areas of employee training and development. Nationally, she has consulted in the area of curriculum design for non-profit and for-profit universities. Globally, Erinn provides curriculum and development design for workforce-training company, West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE) in Nigeria, which provides training for adults to pursue jobs in the hospitality industry and she has instructed adult students enrolled in a hospitality government workforce development program for two years for University of Nevada Las Vegas, Singapore campus.  In addition, she serves on the Advisory Board for tech company, Apploi, and contributor to event technology company Social Tables, lodginingmagazine.com, and has held management positions with General Motors R* Works and Dave & Busters, Inc. 

Dr. Tucker considers herself a film buff and food enthusiast always on the lookout for the best crab cake, lobster roll and microbrewer. Her hobbies include traveling, writing and golf whenever she gets the time and veg-watching Netflix. Erinn holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University, a master’s degree in Sport Administration from Florida State University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Winthrop University. Erinn completed her Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University (OSU). She is a member of Professional Convention Managers Association (PCMA) and International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) and earned her certification in 2015 as a Certified Diversity Meeting Professional.
