Jamaica Plain

Once a summertime resort destination for Bostonians, Jamaica Plain is now a diverse and dynamic Boston neighborhood. Jamaica Pond: Spend some time outdoors and visit Jamaica Pond where you can go for a walk and enjoy the scenic view, have a picnic, or rent a rowboat, kayak or paddleboard at the boathouse. They also offer SUP yoga and sailing lessons.

JP Licks: JP Licks has multiple locations across the city but as its name suggests, JP Licks was born in Jamaica Plain. Stop by the original shop and enjoy some handmade ice-cream or frozen yogurt.

The Loring Greenough House: The last surviving 18th century home in Sumner Hill, The Loring Greenough, offers tours and other programming and events throughout the year, such as Thursdays on the lawn which feature live music, food trucks and a beer garden.

The Vu Cinema Cafe: The VU is Boston's only video rental store, a full-service coffee shop, and a 24-seat microcinema. They provide a wide range of coffee and non-coffee beverages, and host screening events regularly.
