MBTA: Chelsea can be found directly across the Mystic River from Boston. The city can be accessed through the MBTA Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Line.

Despite the fact that Chelsea is the smallest city in Massachusetts it is still the second most densely populated city in the state. It is home to the historic second battle of the American Revolution, the Battle of Chelsea Creek. Chelsea Square, located downtown, contains the finest mid-19th and early-20th century commercial architecture in the city. Chelsea has seen a great business revival over the past few years and is now flourishing with offices, stores, and restaurants. Notably, Chelsea was home to Elizabeth Cady Stanton, prominent figure in the early women’s rights movement, and Carl Voss, NHL Hall of Famer. It was also a prominent filming location of the 2007 drama Gone Baby Gone, directed by Ben Affleck.
