North Cambridge
Keep heading up Mass. Ave from Porter Square and you will eventually discover North Cambridge. Their history was built from bricks (back in the day North Cambridge produced over 24 million bricks a year) and has since turned into a place with some of the funkiest small businesses and authentic ethnic restaurants around.
Yes, Chef! There’s a boutique Italian foods retailer, an Indian bridal showroom, an 85-year-old steakhouse (ask for Frank), Iggy has the bread, and if you're just looking for a pub, tell em “Joe Sent Me.” Thankfully there’s a tree-lined bike path you can walk after all that food and a great taste of Cambridge bohemia.
