Things To Do in the Theatre District & Chinatown

Boston's Theater District hosts an endless array of Broadway shows. Productions at the Citizens Bank Opera House, the Boch Center, and the Charles Playhouse attract audiences of all ages. The area is also home to dozens of restaurants and bars offering fare at a wide range of prices. From Chinese and Thai to upscale contemporary American cuisine, the area is the ideal place for pre-show dining.

Chinatown is renowned for its large selection of Asian restaurants and bakeries. Beyond the neighborhood's elaborately decorated gate, visitors can stroll the alleys for herbal shops and Asian markets stocked with vegetables and spices. During the Chinese New Year and August Moon Festivals, the streets of Chinatown are filled with dancing dragons, traditional music, and martial arts demonstrations.
