Beautiful and peaceful Weston is a small town 12 miles west of Boston. It is among the ten most affluent towns with over 1,000 households in the nation. It is the only town in the Boston area to have private roads. Located on a rugged upland plateau, early settlers used the limited agricultural land to develop a sawmill, taverns, and doctors offices. Notable residents of Weston include Jeremy Jacobs, owner of the Boston Bruins and local baseball legend, Red Sox’s designated hitter David Ortiz.
